Peaceful Pet Goodbyes at Home - In Home Pet Euthanasia
A Fond Farewell is an In-Home pet euthanasia service dedicated to providing each pet with a loving, peaceful passing, in their own familiar surroundings. We understand how difficult it can be to say goodbye to a beloved friend and family member and will strive to help guide our families through this process.
As pet lovers ourselves, we know the bond of love shared with our furry companions and how hard it is to say our final goodbyes. In home pet euthanasia can provide familiar surroundings for our pets, reducing their stress and thereby making their passing more peaceful.
In home euthanasia provides a comforting, safe, and familiar atmosphere for our beloved pet, surrounded by their loving humans.
Our veterinarians at A Fond Farewell will walk you through this process and answer any questions you may have to help guide you and your family in making this decision and then be there for you at the time of your pet's euthanasia.
When our veterinarian arrives at your home - you, any friends and family members and, of course, your beloved pet will be greeted and introduced. An exam/consultation will be performed and then the process will be explained and any questions that you or your loved ones have can be answered. We encourage any other pets in the home to be present throughout this appointment. The process of euthanasia itself will involve:
- Sedation - this initial injection will put your pet in a deep plane of "sleep". It typically will take anywhere from 5-15 minutes for them to reach this stage, and during this time, you are encouraged to talk quietly and reassuringly to your faithful friend as he/she slips off to sleep.
- The second injection is the medication that will help your pet move on to their next adventure. Your veterinarian will let you know when your pet has passed, and you will be given the time you need to say your final goodbyes.
- At that point, when you are ready, we will prepare your pet for transport to the place of your choosing. If help is needed, we will have a representative of Faithful Companion outside to assist.
Our hope, here at A Fond Farewell, is that it will be just that - a fond farewell, an affectionate "see you later" - to a beautiful friend and amazing part of our lives. You can be comforted in knowing that your pet was surrounded by their loving humans, safe at home; and that their passing was as painless and stress-free as possible.
A Fond Farewell is proud to partner with Faithful Companion Pet Cremation Services, located in Plain City, Ohio.
